INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA

After a splendid victory against the world champions India is about to take over southafrica in its first test match at chennai.Both the teams have acquired full confidence due to their victories in their previous tours.Southafrican captain have said that they have charted out many strategies to win India but at the same time indians are too ready to register another victory in their own soil.Disappointing news is the periodical raining.Last time the match between these two countries was called off because of heavy rain which made the audions more sad.We hope this time it will not be the same and also the Indian heroes will be expressing their full potential and win this series to add more pride to the nation.

FARE WELL

Farewell celebration on 25 th march was really memorable and unforgettable moments in my life.Usually each department use to celebrate their farewell on separate days but we were suppose to do on same day.Anyhow each department started their celebrations separately by morning 9.30 and we started with Thanks giving ceremony in which all our staffs participated.This ceremony was really heart touching moment for me and all my friends.Starting from Hod every staffs started addressing us and shared their thoughts about us and their own experiences with us.Many gave valuable advices to enhance ourselves for a better future.But this time these advices was not boring for us as in the case of lectures given during class hours.Our Hod,Porselvi madam, Thangalakshmi madam,are the staffs whom our department students will never forget in their life.The way they helped us in the past four years treating us as their children cannot be expressed in few words,At no point they were less than our parents.After ending the ceremony with our small gratitudes to our staffs we went for celebration.The celebration was really fabulous comprising paper dance,raging,mimicry performances, As usual great dances by all of us.The time we enjoyed was less but the joy with in us was at sky height,i am in search of words to express those moments.Then at 2 pm we were asked to assemble in auditorium.Each and every department Hod,Representatives addressed the gathering sharing their feelings for the past four years.Again the highlight was our class poosatti who gave a big lecture which made many in search of him for beating after the end of the show.All put together those was fabulous moments which i will not be getting back in my life.

INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE(IPL)

The Indian Premier League is a competition comprising 20-20 cricket matches created by BCCI in India and it is also approved by ICCI.The complete fixtures consisting of 59 matches have been framed by BCCI.The matches are about to commence from 18 th of april 2008 and will last for 44 days.The winning team will be carrying away with $3 million.A total of 16 players are supposed to be in a team with minimum four players who are under 22,maximum of eight foreign players are allowed per team.Gangully,Dhoni,Dravid will be leading kolkata, chennai, hydreabad teams respectively.
The kolkata team is owned by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment in partnership with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta."I and my RCE have not come to this city to create any kind of stress. We are going to sit down and sort this out amicably. We hope to carry the true spirit of cricket as we hold talks with the CAB till a solution is found," Khan said.
"We will make everyone happy. Even CAB is our team. This is the first thing we will work on. And the rates will be affordable," King Khan told to press at a function where the team was launched along with its logo, mascot and anthem.

COLLEGE END

Its turning out to be sad for me as i am nearing the end of my college life.Its seems to be just now i started my first year but now i am in in my final semester,sure the days are running faster These days were full of joys,funs,teasing each other,enjoying the classes without concentrating to it and passing comments and so on.Nss camp,Trip to north india,iv,ipt,cricket matches comprising victories and defeats within us,days of preparation for placements and exams,birthdays treats were the moments that added more enjoyment to our college life.Aranging symposiums,Participating in other college symposiums,taking part in blood camps organised by our college were the other activites that we participated.Lots were expected from me for our department cricket match that held recently but in reply it was a disappointing performance from me that I will never forget. The 11 th hour preparation and group studies were really a good one to remember throughout the life.Staffs and Hod gave a good support for the past 3 yearsAt one stage I had a feeling that when i will be moving away from this atmosphere because it was like another schooling and not like a college life as it should be, but now I feel, that should not happen because I will be missing my all dearest friends. Eventhough I am not going to miss my friends by their contact still its hard to feel that their will be rare chances to meet all together again in one place.The time is making us to move apart but these sweet memories will always bind us together forever.Through this post I convey my best wishes for all my friends in the college for their bright future

53rd FILIM FARE AWARDS(INDIAN OSCARS)

One of the most popular awards of the nation is the filim fare awards.The 53rd Film fare Awards for the year 2007 - 2008 was held at the Yashraj Studios in Mumbai on feb 23rd.That was a great day for the entire bollywood lovers where many stars turned up for the show.However, one could not help but notice that only those stars were present at the gathering who won certain awards, those who didn’t win anything did not bother to turn up at the show.The happiest of all would be - . Shah Rukh, Kareena, Aamir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Tabu, Darsheel Safary, Konkona Sensharma, Irrfan Khan, AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukon;the award winners. Shahrukh Khan won the best actor award for Chak De India.Best Actress was Kareena Kapoor for Jab We Met.The Best Film wasTaare Zameen Par.The Best Director award was won by Aamir Khan for Taare Zameen Par.Lifetime Achievement Award went to Rishi Kapoor.The Power Awards was won by Yash Chopra & Aditya Chopra.The Best Debut for male was Ranbir Kapoor for his Saawariya and Best Debut for female was Deepika Padukone for her Om Shanti Om .The Best Action Award went to Rob Miller for Chak De India.The Best Cinematography and Best Costumes was won by Sudhip Chatterjee and Sujata Sharma(Gandhi My Father) respectively.Akshay Kumar fans are in for disappointment as he did not win a single award. It was predicted that he will be getting the Best Actor in a Comic Role for atleast one of the five back to back hits he had given,unfortunately that particular category itself was scrapped out this time.Filmfare Best supporting actor award went to Irrfan Khan.Film fare Best Supporting Actress award went to Konkana Sen Sharma for her role in Life in a Metro. The Best Music award for 2008 went to A.R.Rahman for Guru (funny Taare Zameen Par wasn’t even nominated, though people liked it so much!). The Best lyrics award went to Prasoon Joshi for Maa. Shaan won the Filmfare Best Male Playback singer award for his rendering of Jab se Tere Naina (Saawariya) and Shreya Goshal bagged he Film fare Best Female Playback singer for her sweet rendering of the song “Barso Re”(Guru).Thus these awards would have made some set of audions happy and others would have got strucked with an disappointment.However the ultimate motive of these awards is to encourage the entire film industry and boost their performances.

Australia batsman Matthew Hayden was rebuke by his national board since he said Harbhajan Singh as ‘obnoxious weed’.Hayden was found guilty after a three-hour hearing in Melbourne of breaching Cricket Australia's (CA) strict code of behaviour for publicly denigrating an opponent.he was about to be banned or fined but escaped with a warning.Hayden said his dispute with Harbhajan dated back long before this series but claimed the reason the Indians were complaining so much on this tour was because ‘they are losing every game they are playing’."It's been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan. The first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now," Hayden told the radio station. Hayden, who was named on Tuesday as Australia's best ODI player for the past 12 months, also took a swipe at Sharma, who was fined 15 per cent of his match fee after an ugly exchange with Andrew Symonds at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.The players should avoid hurting the opponents,they should enjoy the game with true sportsmanship.
